Investment for the future
The municipality of Teruel in the province of
Aragon is situated between the Iberian
foothills and the Sierra de Cuenca at altitudes
of between 1,800 and 2,000 metres. This explains
why the work of Teruel s road service is
quite hard: in winter, huge quantities of snow
have to be cleared from roads and, after periods
of bad weather, boulders and fallen trees
removed. Not surprisingly, the municipality decided
last year to purchase a U 2150 L 38 with
155 kW (211 bhp) engine. Turuel is now
well-prepared for the future, with the Unimog
equipped with a snow plough made by
SICOMETAL, a PALFINGER crane and a salt
and grit sprayer from EPOKE.

taken around by a rubber-tyred train pulled by a Unimog U 1400 disguised as a
locomotive. The Rosas Express company based in Rosas chose the Unimog because
part of the sightseeing tour is in difficult, hilly terrain. The entire construction work
for the train and the technical realisation was undertaken by Remolques Sañe.
