Chicagoland Speedway, which opened in 2001,
is the largest sporting facility in Illinois, hosting
sold-out crowds at its NASCAR, INDY Car Series
throughout the summer. The $130-million,
1.5-mile, D-shaped tri-oval, located adjacent to
its sister track, Route 66 Raceway, is also home
to the Richard Petty Driving Experience, which
allows fans to ride along in or even drive a
NASCAR stock car around the track.

Route 66 Raceway opened in 1998 and is a
multi-million-dollar complex that encompasses
a quater-mile, 30,000-seat, stadium-style drag
