The company was already usingan Atlas Copco Boomer L2 C drill rig todrill and blast the tunnel and was ableto use the same equipment for pipe roofingwork together with the Atlas CopcoSymmetrix system.This method involves steel pipes orcasings installed in an umbrella patternin the crown of the tunnel, providing supportahead of drilling and blasting.Mining & Construction – 3 / 201119
