Visitor information is available from The Old Grain
Shed (33 First St) which is open seven days. Ardrossan
Foodland, Caravan Park, and the Roadhouse Cafe on

The Chatt Centre at 3 Robert Street is the
town’s information centre. The Centre provides a
number of services including internet, email, fax and
photocopying. The Centre’s email address is chatt@

minlaton
The Harvest Corner Yorke Peninsula Visitor
Information Centre at Minlaton is the major
information centre for Central and Southern Yorke
Peninsula, conveniently located at 29 Main Street. SA
Tourism Award silver medal winners in 2006 and 2007,
gold medallists in 2008, and has also won the 2009,
2010 and 2011 State’s best visitor information centre.
In 2011 Harvest Corner was inducted into the South
Australian Tourism Hall of Fame.
Fully accredited, it is open seven days a week,
with an excellent variety of information about the
Peninsula, with brochures and maps and the ability
to source information from further afield. The
volunteers of Harvest Corner received an award for
their contribution to Tourism in 2006, and their local
knowledge is invaluable to visitors.
Harvest Corner is also home to tea rooms and
a gallery, displaying and selling a comprehensive
collection of high quality crafts and produce.

Tourism information is available at the Coobowie
General Store which is open 7 days a week. Phone
8852 8090.
port vincent
The Progress Association has an information office
in the Town Hall, 19 Marine Parade.
The Town Office is staffed by volunteers and open
Wednesdays and Fridays, 10 am to 12 noon.
Services available include photocopying, photoscanning,
typing, email and internet access.
Information is also available in the form of
pamphlets, brochures, maps and information on
walking trails and other tourist attractions.

stansbury
The Visitor Centre, corner of Weaver and Towler
Streets, is another excellent source of information
including accommodation listings, brochures,
maps and advice on town and district services and
attractions.
The Centre is open 9 am to 5 pm Monday to
Friday, and from September through to April, open
weekends 10am to 2pm. There is a range of holiday
memorabilia for sale.

S.Y.P. Community Telecentre at Yorketown
provides a range of information services and is
also home to Salt Lake Gallery. Open week days

Caravan parks on the Peninsula are excellent
sources of information and suggestions for visitors.
Additionally, many stores are similarly able to help.
The District Council’s Principal Office at Maitland,
and Regional Offices at Minlaton, Warooka and

Set along rugged coastline, the southern tip of
Yorke Peninsula, is home to Innes National Park.
Attracting approximately 125,000 visitors annually,
offering majestic headlands and sweeping beaches,
Innes National Park provides the perfect backdrop for a
seaside escape. As the largest area of native vegetation
remaining on the Yorke Peninsula, this natural mallee
bushland provides excellent opportunities to see
native animals in their natural habitat.

Innes National Park invites you to dive, surf and
fish its clear, blue waters or immerse yourself in the
Park along the trails and boardwalks. From an easy
30 minute stroll amongst the ruins of an abandoned
gypsum-mining village, to a half-day hike, the
walking trails showcase the Park’s stunning scenery
and some of the 300 native flora species.
If camping beneath the stars is more your
style, Innes offers a choice of eight campgrounds.
With just a short stroll to the beach, the recently
upgraded Pondalowie Campground boasts new
gas BBQs and toilet facilities. Other more secluded
campsites are available throughout the park,
including Shell Beach and Cable Bay.

Entry and camping fees apply in the Park. Permits
can be purchased at the Visitor Centre or from selfregistration
stations adjacent to the Visitor Centre,
Gym Beach or Innes Park Trading Post. Vehicles must
display a valid permit at all times while in the Park.

The Visitor Centre is the official entry point into
the Park, offering brochures and information about
the area, as well as National Parks Passes for those
regular National Park visitors. Pets are not allowed
in the Park and fire restrictions apply between
November 1st and April 30th, but these dates may
vary due to seasonal conditions.
