Year 7 Girls’ BasketballOn Monday 12 November the Year 7 girls’ basketball team took part in the first Wokingpartnership tournament held at Woking High. The girls played brilliantly and beat Woking High Ateam by a basket to push them out of top spot in the group to play Winston Churchill in the semi finals. Thegirls won the semi final easily. Collingwood played SJB in the final and it was 4-4 at the final whistle. Therefore, the girls had to play golden basket. They worked really hard as a team, defended and attackedwith all they had. Then Holly Davies shot from outside the key and swished the ball into the hoop. The girlswere a pleasure to coach and I’m really excited for the next tournament at George Abbot.Miss Robinson - PE DepartmentYou can either support your favourite man, or pledge supportfor the team in general.Thank you for your support.Mr J Balcombe - Maths DepartmentThe brave and hairy men from Collingwood havebeen growing moustaches and facial hair to raisemoney for men's cancer charities via ‘Movember2012’.
