As from this date, all pumps willbe classified/graduated in a newenergy efficiency index (MEI).MEI indexMinimum Efficiency Index (MEI) is the dimensionlessscale unit for hydraulic pump efficiency at bestefficiency point, part load and overload.EU regulations set efficiency requirements to MEI ≥ 0.1as from 1 January 2013 and MEI ≥ 0.4 as from 1January 2015.
