.ACCOMPLISHMENTS (Past 24 hours)1. Application of water to South Tower area and where heat and smoke are escaping inan attempt to extinguish/reduce the heat. Operation continues.2. Operations ~ontinue on debri.s removal from the North Tower area with intermittent ~use ofhandlmes to cool debrIs.3. Roof debris removal @ 130 Cedar St. continues. Hand line for fireprevention/suppression support from <strong>FDNY</strong> will be necessary.<strong>PLAN</strong>NED <strong>ACTION</strong>S (Next 24 hours)1. Steel cutting @ Bankers Trust (130 Liberty St.), from 23rd floor down to <strong>11</strong>th floorcontinues starting at 0630 hrs. thru 1700 hrs. Handline fire prevention/suppressionsupport from <strong>FDNY</strong> will be necessary on a floor-by-floor basis. This workcontinues.2. Demolition of 6 WTC continues. Hand line fire prevention/suppression support from<strong>FDNY</strong> will be necessary.3. Removal of steel remnants from S/E comer of 3 WFC. Hand line fireprevention/suppression support from <strong>FDNY</strong> will be necessary.4. Installation of dewatering equipment in south projection. <strong>FDNY</strong> sac may berequired.5. Steel cutting @ 30 West Broadway. Sfecialized demolition at various floors,including removing a portion of the 8 floor slab. SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS1. This is a revised lAP. All chan2:es from lAP dated <strong>11</strong>/10-<strong>11</strong>/13/01 areunderlined and in boldface.2. Veterans Day observance 0800 hours Monday <strong>11</strong>/12/01 through 0800 hoursTuesday <strong>11</strong>/13/01. There will be no contractor work during this periodVeteran's Dav work schedule is attached.3. No open flames or warming fires. All fires will be extinguished by the BFU.4. New Incident Command Post staffing hours-effective <strong>11</strong>/10/01. See attachment.5. <strong>FDNY</strong> Sector Chiefs will approve all searches.6. Follow identified procedures to handle requests for retrieval of valuables fromdamaged structures.7. PPE requirements are as follows:Red Zone -Helmet, Safety Glasses & Safety Shoes.Inner Zone -Helmet, Safety Glasses, Safety Shoes & Respirators.8. <strong>FDNY</strong> personnel parking is located on the south side of Warren St., 250 feet east ofWest St. Access to the FD parking lot must be made through the West & ChambersStreet checkpoint. Members will be issued a site access card at the beginning oftheir shift. These access cards must be prominently displayed to allow entry onto thesite. The access cards shall be handed in at the end of the shift. Coveralls andrespirators will be available at the FD Warren St. parking lot.9. GPS is to be used to plot locations of all victims, remains, fire equipment andapparatus. If the GPS is not operational, hand held GPS operators will manuallyrecord grid locations using a grid map dated 09/20 or later. GPS units areavailable through the Sector Chiefs, who shall contact the GPS Team via channelS.10. When public safety personnel, apparatus, and/or equipment are found, please protectthearea and notify the appropriate agency for appropriate documentation and removal.<strong>11</strong>. When any SCBA or compressed gas cylinders are found, the Sector Chief willcontact ICP for Fire Prevention notification. Cages are at East & West Command for'temporary storage of cylinders.l2.Enclosures on North and South projections on West Street are locked. The keys willbe located with the <strong>FDNY</strong> Command Post, NYPD Officer at enclosure, and OEM.l3.Prior to any vehicles being removed/towed from buildings, <strong>FDNY</strong> Operations Chiefmust determine if a foam handline is needed.1 4. Prior to steel cutting at @3 WFC (Amex) a charged handline will be stretched. Inaddition, a charged handline must be in position prior to any steel cutting operation.15. The exclusion zone for Bankers Trust will be maintained & enforced during cuttingoperations.16.
