He added that theteachers’ high expectations and the structuredenvironment made the transition to college fluid.“There was always a certain way of doing things– the St. Joe’s way – that established a routine ofresponsibility and accountability to myself, toothers, and to God,” Cliff said. This provided amoral, intellectual, and professional foundation forhim throughout his life. His fondest memoriesinclude Freshman Orientation, winning the soccerstate championship in 1994, and special teacherssuch as Ms. Lorraine Noble, Br. Paul Joseph, Br.Dennis Wermert, and Mr. Don Bryner.Cliff’s parting advice to the students was to,“Put yourself around successful people. You cansee how they do things and you can learn fromthat. I was fortunate enough to have teachers andparents in my life who provided those models.”Cliff Rowley may no longer be on the playingdiamond, but he certainly has scored a home runwith his career and his life.The Fathers Club of St. Joseph High School hasgenerously pledged $150,000 to the Excellence inScholarship campaign to help maintain a moderatetuition for current and future students. He is thefirst player in Scranton historyto earn first-team honors.Stallone is third on the team inscoring and leads all Royaldefenseman in total points with10 goals and 16 assists for 26total points. In this weeks ECHAindividual statistics, Stallone issecond among defenseman andtied for 10th overall in scoring.For his career, he has 22 goalsand 41 assists for 63 total pointsin 72 games.2004Adam Brozek is a part of theUniversity of Scranton's IceHockey team.
