2.2.2 Data reviewAs might be expected from a mature hydrocarbon province, data from the Gippsland Basin is abundant.However, locating relevant sections and well logs is a significant undertaking. To construct a geologicalmodel for 2D seismic analysis, we focused on interpretation of seismic line G92A-3000 shown inFigure 2.14. The line is located along the shore in Gippsland Basin; the precise location is shown inFigure 2.15, where we also show for reference the location of seismic line GGS185B-17a used for illustrationof CO 2 storage in Figure 2.12. We chose to interpret seismic line G92A-3000 because ofavailability of previous interpretations by Moore and Wong (2002) and Power et al.
