Gaining Experience and LevelsContinue to explore the labyrinth for a while. Try out differentweapons that you find to determine which are the mosteffective against the creatures that you’re fighting. Don’t forgetyour healing potions, and, if things get too tough,you can always exit the dungeon and seek help inthe town.Eventually, your character will gain enoughexperience to reach the next level. When thishappens, your Life and Mana Orbs will becompletely restored, and a button will appearin the playing area. Either click on the buttonor bring up the Character Information screen togain the benefits of your new level. Each levelthat you advance gives you points to distributeamong your attributes. Left-click on the buttonto the right of an attribute to raise it. Also, yourcharacter’s effectiveness in combat and with mostspells will increase automatically.Using Skills and SpellsOnce you have gained enough experience to reach level 2,head back to the entrance. Use the Automap tolocate the stairway up if you’ve moved far awayfrom it. Before you go back to the town, left-clickon the icon on the Interface Bar, or pressthe B key on the keyboard. This opens yourSpellbook that holds a list of all the spells andskills that your character currently knows. Leftclickingon the numbered tabs along the bottomof the Spellbook allows you to flip through thepages in your Spellbook. Left-clicking on a spellor skill will prepare it, and the icon on the InterfaceBar will change to indicate the prepared spell/skill. Prepare your Repair skill by left-clicking onthe icon on the first page of your Spellbook. Clickon the button, or press the B key on thekeyboard, to close the Spellbook.Move your cursor over the playing area and click the rightmouse button. Your character will be surrounded by a magicalaura, and your cursor will turn into an icon to represent theRepair skill.
