AdmissionComing into Fashion - £5/£3.50Dressed to Kill - FreeWELCOMEWelcome to the summer exhibitions at the City Art Centre.Over the next few months we have two absolutely fabulousexhibitions on show.Coming into Fashion includes more than 150 rarephotographs and original magazines from the Condé Nastarchives, many of which have never been exhibited before.The publisher Condé Nast launched the career of manyfashion photographers on the pages of his magazines,especially Vogue, Vanity Fair and Glamour.The exhibition presents works spanning the last tendecades. On display are early works by many who wenton to become the biggest names in fashion photography,including Edward Steichen, Cecil Beaton, Helmut Newton,David Bailey and Mario Testino, as well as the work ofcontemporary photographers at the outset of their careers.Complementing Coming into Fashion, Dressed to Killshowcases how Scottish artists have captured fashion,costume and dress over the years, from the late 17thcentury to the present day.
