Theinfrared lasers of durations of tens to sub-enfemtoseconds are available that gives a stronginstrument for molecular imaging. When anatom/molecule is exposed to an intense laser pulse, anon-linear effect occurs with the emission of high-orderharmonics (HHG). The last contain information on thestructure of the atom/molecule that can be extracted byusing invert procedures such as the tomographic one.Canadian group obtained first dynamic ‘photography’of N2 molecule in 2004 that generated a lot of interest ofscientists.
