DHCP Patch Display Page: 1
======================================================================= ======
Run Date: AUG 2, 1993 Designation: OR*2.5*14
Package : OR - ORDER ENTRY/RESULTS RE Priority : MANDATORY
Version : 2.5 SEQ #8 Status : VERIFIED
=============================================================================
Subject: Incompatibility with Kernel 7.1
Category: ROUTINE
Description:
===========
INSTALLATION: This patch may be installed prior to loading Kernel 7.1. Users
need not be off the system when applying this patch; howev er, it should be
done during off-peak times since there is always a chance that someone might
be errored off the system because they were using an option that invoked the
routine being edited.
SPECIAL NOTE: Two of the four routines included in this p atch are XQOR
namespaced. The XQOR* routines are a set of utilities for the Protocol file
(101) and are released as part of the Order Entry/Results Reporting (OR)
package. They were released with a version number of 6.7 and may become part
of the Kernel package at a later date. For the time being any patches to
XQOR namespaced routines will be released under the OE/RR package.
PREVIOUS PATCHES:
The routine OR4 has previously been patched with OR*2.5*2 and OR*2.5*6
PROBLEM: There is an incompatibility between OERR 2.5 and Kernel 7.1. Since
the release of OERR 2.5, the code was changed in the Kernel 7.1 %ZOSV routine
for system capacity checking. A different variable than what was expected is
returned from the call to %ZOSV resulting in an u ndefined error.
This patch makes the changes needed to check for the variable XQXFLG.
