DHCP Patch Display Page: 1
=============================================================================
Run Date: AUG 2, 1993 Designation: OR*2.5*15
Package : OR - ORDER ENTRY/RESULTS RE Priority : MANDATORY
Version : 2.5 SEQ #9 St atus : VERIFIED
=============================================================================
Subject: Backwards Incompatibility
Category: ROUTINE
Description:
===========
INSTALLATION:
Users need not be off the system when applying this p atch; however, it
should be done during off-peak time since there is always a chance that
someone might be errored off the system because they were using an option
that called the routine being edited.
SPECIAL NOTE: The XQOR* routines are a set of u tilities for the Protocol
file (101) and are released as part of Order Entry/Results Reporting (OR)
package. They were released with a version number of 6.7 and may become part
of the kernel package at a later date. For the time being any patches to
XQOR namespaced routines will be released under the OE/RR package.
PREVIOUS PATCHES:
The routine XQORO has previously been patched with OR*2.5*14
PROBLEM: Backwards incompatibility with OE/RR 1.96. The new release of PIMS
5.3 requires the new functionality provided in the XQOR version 6.7 routines
that were released with OE/RR version 2.5. Since PIMS 5.3 does not require
OE/RR 2.5 to be installed, they are exporting the XQOR routines with their
release to be loaded if OE/RR 2.5 is not present. It is then possible to
have version 6.7 of XQOR routines and version 1.96 of OE/RR routines. The
incompatibility occurs because the routine XQORO references the routine OR4
that does not exist in 1.96.
This patch corrects the incompatibility by cal ling an entry point in OR1.
