Changes to OSHA’s HazardCommunication Standard, effective March26, 2012, adopted several aspects related toglobal harmonization of safety materials.The revised standard includes revised criteriafor classification of chemical hazards,new labeling provisions, a specified formatfor safety data sheets, revised definitions,and new training requirements. The newlabeling and data sheets require the useof standardized signal words, pictograms,hazard statements, and precautionarystatements. This workshop will focus onthe revised standard and provide tips forimplementing the new requirements.
