A spectacular plant. Strong purple flushed stems furnished with<br />

whorls of foliage rise up to 8ft in good soil and are topped by<br />

enormous flat heads of rich purple flowers which are the<br />

highlight of the late summer garden. Easy and robust but best<br />

results in a rich soil which is not to dry.<br />

Narrow leaves radially arranged round stems, topped by attractive<br />

yellowish or red bracts. Suitable for well-drained soil in sun or<br />

part shade.<br />

Evergreen leaves in a dark green whorl topped by acid yellow<br />

flowers in spring. Excellent ground cover for a shady dry spot,<br />

spreads by stolons to form a healthy carpet. 2ft.<br />

Tall willowy stems with long narrow glaucous green leaves<br />

topped by wide heads of green-yellow flowers. Remarkably long<br />

flowering period, from June to October. To 5ft.<br />

Striking evergreen plant of architectural merit. Bold dense whorls<br />

of foliage topped by terminal panicles of yellow-green flowers in<br />

spring. The flowering stems should be cut to the ground by<br />

midsummer to allow new shoots to develop. Easily grown but<br />

courtesy of Christopher Lloyd, and grows well at Great Dixter,<br />

hence the name. Semi-shade and moisture.<br />

Remarkable late spring flowering Spurge with bright orange-red<br />

bracts and olive green foliage with red midribs. Red stems and<br />

red and orange autumn colour makes this a plant for three<br />

seasons! Goes well with Alliums, late tulips and variegated<br />

foliage. To 3ft. Available from June.<br />

Long narrow sea-green leaves on stout stems. Forms a neat domeshaped<br />

bush with heads of yellow honey scented flowers in<br />

spring. Sheltered site.<br />

Great heads of brilliant yellow on thick erect stems clothed with<br />

pale green leaves which turn yellow and orange in autumn.<br />

Robust and spectacular. 3ft. Will grow on very wet sites.<br />

New to cultivation, tall upright plants to 4ft, mid-green leaves<br />

and acid yellow flower heads, sun to part shade. Like a<br />

turbocharged E. palustris.<br />

New, attractively variegated compact Euphorbia with red stems<br />

and gold and cream leaf variegation with pink tips. 18ins.<br />

Recent hybrid between E. mellifera and E. stygiana. Foliage is<br />

dark green and firmly held. Forms a dense rounded dome. Sun<br />

and reasonable drainage. This plant was selected for its vigour<br />

growing to 5ft tall. Outstanding dark green leaves with prominent<br />
