TrusteeROBERT GOLDESince 1997 Robert Golde has been principal of the New Haven <strong>landscape</strong> <strong>architecture</strong>firm Towers|Golde, where he has focused his practice on developing a highly collaborativeapproach to project design and implementation. His firm has received more than50 state, national, and international awards for completed projects, and is a regularcontributor to <strong>CTASLA</strong>’s annual Design Awards program. Through his longstandingrelationships with nationally recognized architects and other design professionals hehas established a strong reputation for excellence and professionalism. Through hisparticipation in the ACE Mentor Program he has sought to ensure that the next generationof design professionals is aware of the opportunities the <strong>landscape</strong> <strong>architecture</strong>profession has to offer. Bob holds a BS in Environmental Studies and a BLA from theState University of New York, College of Environmental Science and Forestry, as wellas his CLARB certification. He is licensed in the states of <strong>Connecticut</strong>, New York,Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maryland, and Virginia.SecretaryDEBRA DE VRIES-DALTONDebra De Vries-Dalton is a <strong>landscape</strong> designer at Aris Land Studio, Bridgeport, CT.Since her early ecology studies Debra has advocated for environmentally sensitiveplanning. Her philosophy mirrors her firm’s focus on creating ecologically-balanceddesigns that meet their client’s economic, living, and sustainability goals. Prior topractice in <strong>landscape</strong> <strong>architecture</strong>, Debra provided commercial real estate investmentadvice through site planning, feasibility studies, and pension fund consulting. As aLEED Accredited professional, Debra continues a focus on sustainable practices,with an ethos combining her economic and design backgrounds. She is a member ofGlastonbury Town Center Initiative and Glastonbury’s Community BeautificationCommittee. She previously served on the <strong>CTASLA</strong> executive committee as amember-at-large, as well as the University of <strong>Connecticut</strong>’s Alumni/PractitionersAdvisory Board. Debra earned her BS in Landscape Architecture, MBA in Real Estateand Finance, and BS in Biology from the University of <strong>Connecticut</strong>.TreasurerBRIAN WESTERMEYERBrian Westermeyer received his BS in Landscape Architecture from the Universityof <strong>Connecticut</strong>. During his five years in the profession, Brian has worked both in theprivate and public sector. The majority of his experience has been spent with large,multi-disciplinary firms focusing on public and urban parks, greenways, playgrounds,and institutional sites. He has been active with the chapter since 2010, taking on therole of chairman for the <strong>CTASLA</strong> golf outing, a fundraiser for the Karen Ann Shopis-Fox Memorial Scholarship. Brian works for Diversified Technology Consultants inHamden, CT.75
