EVERGREEN 3Residual and Cumulative ImpactsThe Scheme will inevitably cause a degree of disruptionwhile it is being constructed, as with most majortransport infrastructure schemes. Impacts arising fromconstruction will be minimised as far as practicable by aCode of Construction Practice, which the Contractor willbe required to comply with as a contractual obligation.<strong>Non</strong>etheless, construction plant and hoardings are likely tobe in relatively close proximity and visible to those livingadjacent to the route.Noise impacts will occur, albeit short term ones, at alimited number of receptors during noisier constructionactivities. There will be additional construction traffic androad and footway diversions. These construction effectsmay combine to increase any overall sense of disruptionexperienced by those living and working in those locations.Whilst impacts at each individual site are likely to beslight, cumulative impacts to archaeology and the culturalheritage resource have been considered to be slight tomoderate. No other significant cumulative impacts havebeen identified from the Scheme or in combination withother permitted schemes.<strong>Chiltern</strong>’s improvements have continued to boostrail services in the regionThe Scheme, in operation, will deliver certain beneficialoutcomes, including additional public transport capacity,improved highway capacity around Water Eaton Parkwaystation, local landscape and townscape improvementsaround stations. There will be some residual adverseimpacts, even after mitigation. These include impactson traffic using London Road, Bicester; noise at certainlocations along the route and visual impacts at severallocations as well as a potential impact on bats at Wolvercottunnel.
