compassion and approval stamp, this could not have<br />
happened for me … I don't mean to sound too over-the-top<br />
with my thanking you, I just need you to know that this<br />
changed the life of one young vet and you had a big part in<br />
it. This has not only taken a thousand pounds of weight off<br />
of my shoulders, but it has done the same for my fiancé and<br />
my family … Thanks again for the work that you do everyday<br />

This is a testimonial to the wonderful assistance granted<br />
to me personally in March <strong>2011</strong>. I am a 71 year old retired<br />
<strong>Army</strong> Master Sergeant ... Because of circumstances I had<br />
no control of, my financial life was flipped upside down<br />
causing me extreme hardship and the near loss of my<br />
home ... My water well went dry, thousands of dollars in<br />
my meager savings were wiped out in an instant…There<br />
was no fuel for heating or cooking during the worst winter<br />
I can recall, …until the miracle in the form of my yearly<br />
request for a donation to <strong>AER</strong> arrived in the mail... I had<br />
never read the enclosed folders, and why after all these<br />
years I decided to read this year’s is beyond any<br />
reasoning…But read it I did, and discovered that, as I’d<br />
always believed assistance was for active duty troops only<br />
was not true… Within two days time, my request was<br />
granted and a burden unlike any I’d ever experienced was<br />
lifted from my shoulders…I assure you there are no words<br />
that can ever express my sincere heartfelt gratitude to<br />
<strong>AER</strong>…My best wishes for continued success in assisting ALL<br />
of us, in and out of uniform…<br />
