May 2011<strong>GNLD</strong> Awards Young Investigators At Global ScientificEvent PhenHRIG - 2011Washington DC, April9 2011:At the annual meeting of the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology, <strong>GNLD</strong>’s longsupport for the plant polyphenol and flavonoid research group known as PhenHRIG opened a newchapter as we awarded three outstanding young scientists the first ever <strong>GNLD</strong> / PhenHRIG YoungInvestigator Award. Since 1995 <strong>GNLD</strong> has been the founding sponsor of PhenHRIG (Plant PolyphenolHuman Research Interest Group) whose scientific focus is on polyphenols and flavonoids in humanhealth. The awards were presented by SAB Member Dr. Arianna Carughi along with Dr. Myron GrossPhenHRIG president. “It is this sort of participation in the scientific community that helps keep us at theforefront of nutritional science,” said <strong>GNLD</strong> Vice President of Science and Technology and SABMember John Miller. “We were extremely excited to contribute to the success of these brilliant minds.”(From left to right: Sheau Ching Chai, Arianna Carughi, Greg Hostetler, Myron Grossand Noppawat Charoensinphon)And the awards go to: Sheau Ching Chai, Greg Hostetler and Noppawat Charoensinphon!
