Over the past few years, two alarming<br />

worldwide trends seem to be increasing in<br />

magnitude. These relate to the ongoing<br />

financial and health crisis facing the world.<br />

At the start of the new year, these trends are<br />

bound to continue with no end in sight.<br />

At a time where so many people around the<br />

world are unsure of their financial and<br />

physical futures, we at GNLD can offer<br />

hope. We are truly blessed in that we have<br />

the solutions—and that we can freely share<br />

them with everyone who is concerned. As<br />

time goes by, the value of our products and<br />

opportunity seems to increase as these<br />

alarming trends spiral out of control,<br />

particularly when one considers that no<br />

barriers exist for participation. GNLD is the<br />

ideal part-time business that can be<br />

conducted from home without any of the<br />

overhead, staff, or set up costs associated<br />

with normal business.<br />

A brand new year is ahead of us, yet before<br />

we know it, this year too will have passed.<br />

The start of a new year is a good time to<br />

take a look at where we have come from,<br />

where we are, and where we are going. It’s<br />

a time to review the goals, plans, strategy,<br />

and actions that have resulted in bringing us<br />

to where we are today. Now is the time to<br />

evaluate the results and the satisfaction that<br />

they bring. Are we satisfied with these<br />

results If not, we should change our plans,<br />

strategy, and actions going forward, knowing<br />

that unless we do so the same results will<br />

be achieved in the future.<br />

I thank all members of the GNLD Worldwide<br />

more importantly their commitment to the<br />

future, where we will continue to make a<br />

positive difference by empowering people in<br />

When the time is right, the right opportunity finds you. When<br />

Culinary Instructor, Beverly Clarke, delivered an order of cupcakes<br />

to a local school, she needed a ride back to the town center. The<br />

person who gave her that ride was (GNLD 1 Ruby Director) Clinton<br />

Allen. “I was interested in what he told me about GNLD, but we<br />

were in financial crisis at the time. The stress on our family was very<br />

heavy, so I couldn’t fully commit just yet. But the following month,<br />

I received a gift from a good friend and right away, I knew how to<br />

invest that money.” That investment paid off almost immediately.<br />

After their first #1 victory in July, the Clarke family was having dinner<br />

Though barely 20 years old, Australian<br />

Peta White has traveled the world to<br />

crew on rowing teams. Her recent<br />

performance at the World Rowing<br />

Championships in Belarus, earned Peta<br />

and her three teammates the silver<br />

medal.<br />

Daughter of GNLD Director Tim White,<br />

this elite athlete’s dedication and<br />

maturity exceed her years. For the<br />

past three years, Peta has trained for<br />

two hours, twice a day. Her rigorous<br />

“When developing your team, it is important to make sure your<br />

GNLD structure is deep as well as wide. There are specific<br />

things you can do to encourage new Distributors on your<br />

team and to build team depth.<br />

When you start new Distributors, encourage them to do two<br />

things. First, buy and use the products. This will give them<br />

a better knowledge of the products and the confidence to<br />

share GNLD with everyone they know.<br />

Next, help your new team members identify new prospects<br />

from the people they know. We encourage and help our new<br />

Distributors to sign up six new starts in their first month. That<br />

may be more than the 3-in-30 they’ll later strive for, but this<br />

way, the initial number is greater and hopefully 2 or 3 of those<br />

new sign-ups will excel straight away, which will immediately<br />

create excitement with the new people getting results as<br />

quickly as possible.<br />

Our system of working with new Distributors is based on<br />

working in depth, so your next step is to help build one of<br />

those new legs to at least 10 to 15 levels deep. This will help<br />

create Managers and Senior Managers in that leg which<br />

will in turn create more excitement in the team and encourage<br />

Distributors to remain in the business.<br />

This takes time, but if you are in GNLD for the long haul, then<br />

you need to spend quality time in building legs that are deep,<br />

strong, and structured.”<br />

“After nearly 43 years with this company, I’m still as excited<br />

to meet people and introduce them to GNLD as I was during<br />

my first year.” Over the years, 4 Ruby Director Lucille McAfee<br />

has introduced hundreds of people to GNLD products and<br />

opportunity. In addition to a successful business, she has<br />

enjoyed the total lifestyle that GNLD provides. “For years, I<br />

couldn’t believe I was making money by having fun. I thought<br />

of how hard I had previously worked for less money. Now,<br />

life is a party. I am 86 years-old and have made more friends<br />

Lucille emphasizes that when introducing GNLD products<br />

and/or opportunity to a new contact, you don’t want<br />

to overwhelm them with too much information. “To be<br />

successful with GNLD you don’t have to speak well, you<br />

have to listen well. You need to take a genuine interest in<br />

people to determine areas of common ground. What are<br />

their needs” Once you have established a rapport with a<br />

new contact, then you can focus on which area may appeal<br />

to them. That area may be additional money, better health, or<br />

travel opportunity. “If I met someone who told me they love to<br />

travel, I would tell them about the many exotic places I have<br />

been because of my association with GNLD, of the beautiful<br />

5-star hotels that I have stayed in—compliments of GNLD!<br />

Life is not a destination, it’s a journey. With GNLD, I have<br />

certainly enjoyed the journey!” n<br />

Sapphire Director Antonietta Loya has<br />

always loved to travel. With GNLD, she<br />

and her husband Carlos have been able<br />

to live vacations that others only dream<br />

about. Their trips have included San<br />

Francisco, Nashville, Sanibel Island,<br />

Chicago, Puerto Rico, Niagara Falls,<br />

and London.<br />

“Niagara Falls is the most beautiful work<br />

of Nature I have ever seen. We enjoyed<br />

morning walks and taking photos, but<br />

we decided against the boat trip that<br />

takes you close to the falls—that’s a little<br />

too close for comfort!” From Canada to<br />

Sanibel Island off the coast of Florida,<br />

Antoinetta has always been thrilled with<br />

her trips with GNLD. “In Sanibel, we<br />

were invited to have breakfast on a<br />

boat with [GNLD President and CEO]<br />

Roget Uys. We ate, laughed, and looked<br />

for dolphins; can you imagine that”<br />

Look Out! Here Comes The GNLD Lady!<br />

All over the world, Distributors are having<br />

fun with their GNLD businesses. They<br />

continually come up with new ideas to<br />

introduce people to our fantastic products<br />

and opportunities.<br />

When Sapphire Director Virpi Lampela<br />

felt she needed a bit more visibility for<br />

her GNLD business, she came up with<br />

a—some would say—wild idea. While<br />

many would have opted for a license<br />

plate frame or a bumper sticker for her<br />

cherry-red Chevy, Virpi went in a different<br />

direction. “My motto is: Think Big,” Virpi<br />

explains. Applying that to her business,<br />

she came up with the car wrapping<br />

idea. “Why have a size small bumper<br />

sticker when you can have a size XXL<br />

car wrapping”<br />

Having fun while taking a chance has<br />

definitely paid off. “I am known all<br />

around the Turku [Finland] area as the<br />

GNLD Lady. My car is a great conversation<br />

starter. People ask about GNLD<br />

and the next thing I know, I have new<br />

contacts—and sometimes people sign<br />

up right then and there!” n<br />
