It provides important opportunities for parents to study theirown children’s development and behavior at different ages and toparticipate fully in that learning process.Teachers, hired by each program, set up a sound educationalcurriculum for young children and establish routines and activitiesthat promote social, physical, mental, emotional and creative growthfor each child. A Parent-Child Education instructor, provided by thecollege, is assigned to each program and serves as an educatorand resource person to the parents, the preschool teacher and thechildren.Parents earn college credits each quarter for participation in theco-op program for a reduced fee per credit. An additional lab fee ispaid to the preschool for the child’s participation.
