GAMES TIME FILMING GUIDELINES FOROLYMPIC RELATED FILMING IN LONDON5.1 High Visibility Clothing & PersonalProtection EquipmentThe Production must ensure that the appropriatelevel of safety clothing is worn <strong>for</strong> the safety of thecrew when filming on the public highway <strong>and</strong> in thepublic domain.There is a new Act, entitled the CorporateManslaughter <strong>and</strong> Corporate Homicide Act 2007,in <strong>for</strong>ce that affects Production. Historic & Cultural LocationsThe Production shall adhere to any conservationregulations laid down by the respective film contact.8. Public Liability InsuranceThe Production shall provide a copy of PublicLiability Insurance to the London Media Centre<strong>for</strong> all location filming <strong>and</strong> agree to indemnify thelocation owner or representative against any claimsarising as a direct result of the activities of theProduction.Indemnity & InsuranceThe Production shall obtain <strong>and</strong> produce to theLondon Media Centre a copy of the relevantinsurance needed be<strong>for</strong>e shooting commences.The need <strong>for</strong> insurance is governed by statutoryobligation.9. Rivers & WaterwaysWhen planning to film on any waterway, theProduction must liaise with the film contact fromthe relevant governing body as early as possible.Specific health <strong>and</strong> safety measures will apply.Port of London Authority <strong>and</strong> Inl<strong>and</strong> WaterwaysAssociation are the relevant bodies.7. ParkingThe Production shall submit detailed parking plansto be discussed <strong>and</strong> agreed with the film contact;in particular <strong>for</strong> on-street parking <strong>for</strong> technicalvehicles, equipment <strong>and</strong> bays to be reserved <strong>for</strong>continuity.The Production shall make every ef<strong>for</strong>t to findoff street parking <strong>for</strong> all facilities vehicles.The Production shall not obscure m<strong>and</strong>atoryor warning traffic signs when parking vehicleson highways that are not closed.Parking charges are detailed on each BoroughFilm Service’s rate card. 23
