THISAPPENDIX I.appendix contains the nominal roll and recordof services of the officers, warrant officers, noncommissioned officersand men who served withthe Fourth Canadian Mounted Rifles.It includesa summary of the record of services of the commandingofficers and also of those officers attached to the regiment.These records have been supplied by the Department ofNational Defence, Ottawa.A glossary of abbreviations, Appendix II, used inthe regimental records, will be found at the end of thisappendix.There are no dates of enlistment given, but thosemen who were of the original unit will be recognizedas those who went to24th, 1915.France with the unit on OctoberIn almost every case the date on being struck offthe strength (s.o.s.), is the date of demobilization inCanada or England. Where the date of being struckoff the strength of the unit, or being transferred toanother unit, or for any other reason, is known, it isgiven.
