UNDER 18KRUSHChris Lavery and Aaron Cloke combined for 13goals in the Krushers’ krushing win over theBernies. Oakleigh never looked in doubt kicking6 goals 9 in the first qtr to a solitary behind. TheBernies didn’t know what hit them and wereblown away with the smooth skills from JakeBenoiton and the Osmani brothers. The Krusherslook the real deal and might trouble some teamsin the second half of the year, pushing for their3rd finals birth in 3 seasons. For St Bernards, theyfinished off strong in the last qtr kicking 4 goalsto 1 to put some pride back into the scoreboard.They had six single goal kickers for the day whileGoacomini, Connelly and Bye all tried hard all day.Williamstown overcame a slow start in the firstqtr to continue on there winning ways with a 64point victory over Therry. For Williamstown Mitchell Lane andKnight kicked two a piece while Reuben Slaneyand Lachlan Gibbs was best on. Therry will belooking to come back rejuvenated after anotherbreak in the season.In the 3rd and final game Werribee also overcamea slow first half to run out 63 point victors. UHStook a slight lead into qtr time after some poorkicking from the Tigers. The boys from Parkvillepushed hard but could not hold on to the lead atthe half with the boys from Werribee leading by 3at the half. If it wasn’t for the poor kicking of bothsides, the scores could have been a little different.The second half proved to be the difference withWerribee piling on eleven goals to two to finishthe game off strong. Lachlan St Clair played hisbest match for the year for the U18 side alsokicking two while Benjamin Anderson tried hisbest.
