About 60,000 everyday objects cover the walls of the Ettore<br />
Guatelli Museum <strong>in</strong> Ozzano Taro. They are arranged <strong>in</strong> simple<br />
geometric patterns, and create a highly evocative visual impact,<br />
through an orig<strong>in</strong>al approach to museography that eschews<br />
realistic <strong>in</strong>tentions.<br />
The museum is the fruit of the collection and arrangement<br />
efforts of its author Ettore Guatelli (1921-2000), who devoted<br />
much of his life to this task. After his death, the Ettore Guatelli<br />
Museum Foundation took over the museum’s management.<br />
This private foundation, which also receives considerable public<br />
fund<strong>in</strong>g, has made it possible to develop and carry out extensive<br />
teach<strong>in</strong>g, research, conservation, and promotion efforts, as well<br />
as visitor services.
