Saturday Workshop Descriptions 14Saturday, 3:00 – 3:45 p.m.Dianne Craft Biology of Learning and Behavior Equine ArenaJohnny is a constant motion machine. Tom cries in frustration over minor matters. Susie has mood swings. Joey is nicknamed “Eeyore”because of his negative attitude towards things. A three-year-old gets so angry that his rages are almost scary. Carol acts “spacey” andforgets the things she knew the day before. Harold lies awake a long time each night before he can fall asleep. Could all of thesebehaviors be caused by an upset “gut ecology”? Could they be related to multiple antibiotic use when the child was young, or otherfactors that affected the child’s intestinal health? Could common physical symptoms such as athlete’s foot, rashes, canker sores, sinus problems, and stomach aches, be related to these children’s behavior and learning issues? The answer is a resounding, “yes”!Find out what other parents have been learning: that there is a direct connection between the physical well-being and learning abilityand behavior of a child. This fascinating workshop provides you with clues to your child’s internal learning environment and how tochange that environment for the better. It is easy to correct these conditions at home and dramatically affect your child’s learning day.The testimonies received from parents across the United States who are using these simple remedies with their children, are amazing! The Truth Project, Session ThreeEquine BarnDo you really believe, that what you believe, is really real? Teen Track: Mission ImperativeThis year’s Teen Track is packed full of information and is limitedto the first 250 who sign up. CHAP listened to your suggestionsfrom last year’s conventionand we have allotted timefor the teens to spendshopping for curriculumand eatingwith you.In our society, the most criticized area of the Bible is the firsttwelve chapters of Genesis. These chapters contain informationon the whole “creation model,” which explains far more than justthe origins of objects (like planets, trees, animals, etc.). In thesechapters we also learn of the “fall of man” and its implications;the catastrophe of the flood and its aftermath; the origins oflanguages, cultures, and racial groups; and the special covenantbetween God and Abraham that has specific implications for ustoday. It is a vitally important part of the Scriptures.Unfortunately, many teens fall away from the faith when theyleave home because of the united, concentrated, and specificattacks upon this area of the Bible that they encounter (especiallyin secular colleges) which then cause doubts about the rest ofGod’s Word. These sessions are designed to help teens understand theimportance of the issue and help bolster their faith in God’sWord through very easy-to-understand concepts. These sessionscover a wide range of topics related to origins and help toanswer key questions, such as:• Does it really matter where I came from?• Is there scientific evidence for evolution?• Did man descend from ape-like creatures? If so, what is theevidence?• Where did the water for a world-wide flood come from andwhere did it go?• Is there “proof” that God created?• Does the Bible provide answers to the questions aboutdinosaurs?• Is the earth billions of years old? There is a separate line on the registration form for teensregistering for the Mission Imperative track due to the additionalcosts associated with having a teen program. Teens taking partin the Mission Imperative program cannot also register to bevolunteers. The Mission Imperative registrants will receive adifferent color wristband that they will need to wear in order to beadmitted to the Mission Imperative program area. A parent mustbe registered for the convention and on the premises in order fora teen to register and attend the Mission Imperative program.Friday10:00 – 10:45 a.m. The Horror of the FloodCould you explain where the water for a world-wide flood would have come from, andperhaps more importantly, where did it all go!? Many Christians can’t. Understandingthe flood (the purpose, the causes, the aftermath, and the evidence) is very important toeveryone’s understanding of a Biblically sound creation model. This session covers allthe basics about this event and also includes a video and PowerPoint presentation onthe “hydroplate theory” of the flood. This theory is a Biblically accurate and scientificallyfeasible portrayal of the flood event.11:00 – 11:45 a.m. The Mystery of the DinosaursThis session provides a Biblical alternative to the standard explanation for thesecreatures and answers the basic questions everyone has on the subject: What weredinosaurs? When did they live? What really happened to them? Does the Bible talkabout them?, etc. This is one of our most requested sessions.12:00 noon – 2:00 p.m. Lunch and Shopping With Parents2:00 – 2:45 p.m. The Pillars of EvolutionIn this session we define “science,” and illustrate the scientific method of problemsolving. In the light of true science, the three main concepts that the theory of evolutionis based upon are examined and shown to be faith-based rather than science-based. Thepurpose of this session is not only to show that science does not support evolutionarytheory, but also to give Christians some “tools” with which to combat the theory intheir own community.3:00 – 3:45 p.m. Aunt LucyWhat evidence is there that humans evolved from ape-like creatures? As it turns out, notmuch! In fact, the “evidence” is stunningly sparse, being limited to a few fossilized bones. However, many of these are either fakes, or greatly misinterpreted and exaggerated. This session uses humor as it exposes much of this.3:45 – 6:00 p.m. Shopping With ParentsSaturday9:00 – 9:45 a.m. The Hunters and the Hunted, Part 1(Based on Romans 1:20.) Using puppets and other visual illustrations, we show howlife only shows design, order, and beauty—not random accidents and chance. Issuessuch as the size of creatures in nature and instinct are briefly examined in this sessionand shown to be a powerful argument against evolution.10:00 – 10:45 a.m. The Hunters and the Hunted, Part 2This is a fascinating PowerPoint slide program showing incredible animals fromaround the world and how they “hide” and deceive each other. It continues the maintheme of part 1.11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Lunch and Shopping With Parents2:00 – 2:45 p.m. SpidersRepulsive beasts, right? Perhaps, but spiders have incredible abilities. They are marvelsof design and very beneficial to mankind. This session takes a fun and fascinating lookat these creatures in a new light. (Will you hesitate to squish the ones you see in yourhouse after seeing this session? No, probably not!)3:00 – 3:45 p.m. Lost Secrets of the Ancient CivilizationsThis session normally closes the seminars. With fascinating illustrations, it contraststhe evolution model with the creation model from a historic standpoint through a lookat what many ancient cultures were able to accomplish. It contrasts some of thesecivilizations to our own.3:45 – 5:00 p.m. Shopping With ParentsTeen Track 15Booth 1031 Hungry?A Closer, TemporaryCafeteria HasBeen Set Up in theEquine Barn! The Farm Show’s policyis no food or drinks areallowed to be broughtinside, so head to thecafeteria for a convenientlunch or snack.
