At a glanceThe ¸<strong>ENV4<strong>200</strong></strong> V-network meets therequirements of CISPR 16‐1‐2, VDE 0876,and ANSI C 63.4 for V-networks withthe impedance in the frequency range150 kHz to 30 MHz. It is used formeasuring RFI voltages on AC supplyconnections of EUTs carrying very highcurrents. It is based on air-core inductancesand contains an artificial hand.ExplanationCISPR 16-1-2 specifies two types ofV-networks for the frequency range150 kHz to 30 MHz. They have thefollowing impedance:◆ 50 µH//50 W (type 1)◆ (50 µH + 5 W)//50 W (type 2)OperationThe maximum continuous current on allfour connectors is typically 100 A withthe fans switched off and <strong>200</strong> A with thefans switched on. If the built-in powersupply is used and the internal temperaturelimit of +50 °C is exceeded, the fansare automatically switched on. If the upperlimit of +150 °C is exceeded, the LEDwill turn red and a warning tone will beheard.For connection to the AC supply networkand to the EUT, the ¸<strong>ENV4<strong>200</strong></strong>V‐network is provided with all-insulatedfemale connectors from Multicontact foraccommodating the corresponding maleconnectors for sufficient current-carryingcapacity.The permissible operating voltage is400 V (voltage to neutral in a threephasesystem). This corresponds to adelta voltage of 690 V.The phase of the V-network can bemanually selected by means of a frontpanelswitch or automatically via TTLcontrol inputs which are compatiblewith the latest <strong>Rohde</strong> & <strong>Schwarz</strong> testreceivers. Commercial standard cables(wired 1:1) with 25-pin Cannon connectorscan be used as control cables for<strong>Rohde</strong> & <strong>Schwarz</strong> test receivers of thefollowing types: ¸ESxS (¸ESHS,¸ESS, ¸ESPC, ¸ESCS,¸ESIB, ¸ESCI and ¸ESU).Type 2 is also suitable for the frequencyrange 9 kHz to 150 kHz, but not forvery high currents since it requires anisolating choke of 250 µH.The ¸<strong>ENV4<strong>200</strong></strong> V-networkcorresponds to type 1.
