Cut center panel to measures 16 1/2” x 36 1/2”
Cream Stars 7137-40
(8) 1 7 ⁄8” x wof strips, cut into:
(152) 1 7 ⁄8” squares
(5) 2 1 ⁄8” ** x wof strips,cut into:
(76) 2 1 ⁄8” squares
From Coordinating prints
For each of the 38 stars cut:
(2) 2 1 ⁄8” **squares for the half square triangle units
**if you like to piece your half square triangles oversized and trim
to size, add 3 ⁄8” to the width of the strips and cut the squares 2 1 ⁄2”.
After piecing the half square triangles, trim the unit to 1 7 ⁄8”
(1) 1 7 ⁄8” square for the center of the star

Wall Hanging Construction
Center Panel & Inner Borders
• Sew a 1 1 ⁄2” x 36 1 ⁄2” Gold Scripture strip to each side of the center
panel. Press toward the border. Add the top and bott om 1
1 ⁄2” x 18 1 ⁄2” gold scripture strips. Press.
• Sew a 3 1 ⁄2” x 38 1 ⁄2” green holly strip to each side of the panel.
Press toward the border.
• Add a 3 1 ⁄2” square of character print to each end of the 3 1 ⁄2” x
18 1 ⁄2” green holly borders. Sew these to the top and bott om of the
quilt top. Press
Friendship Star Border
Friendship Star Blocks (4” fi nished, make 38)
To make one block:
• Pair two 2 1 ⁄8” cream star squares with two coordinating 2 1 ⁄8”
squares. Draw a line from corner to corner on the wrong side of
the cream star squares. Sew 1 ⁄4” from each side of the drawn line.
• Cut along the line and press. This will give you 4 half square
triangles.
• Arrange the haf square triangels with (4) 1 7 ⁄8”
cream star squares and (1) 1 7 ⁄8” center square
of coordinating fabric as shown. Sew as a nine
patch. Make 38 blocks.

the directions before
beginning
• Sew (2) sets of eleven stars together. Sew these star strips to each
side of the quilt top. Press.
• Make (2) sets of eight star blocks and sew these strips to the top
and bott om of the quilt.

• Layer, baste & quilt. Bind with 2 1 ⁄2” strips of black swirl.
Avent Calendar
Follow the printed directions on the bott om of the panel to make
pockets and ornaments for the advent calendar. Sew butt ons to some
of the stars around the quilt to hang the litt le ornaments.

• Use Templates C & D, trace and cut (8) green triangles with each.
Star Blocks (16” fi nished, make 2)
For one star block:
• Sew the red holly squares A and red plaid squares A
into (5) four patch units.
• Sew a green triangle C & D to each side of a cream
triangle B as shown.

• Sew the stars together as a nine patch. Make (2)
stars.
• Sew a 1 1 ⁄2’ x 16 1 ⁄2” green swirl border strip to each side of the
star blocks. Sew a block to each side of the center panel. Press
toward the borders.
• Add 1 1 ⁄2” green swirl border strips to the top and bott om of the
row.
• Sew a 2 1 ⁄2” x 18 1 ⁄2” gold scripture strip to each side of the table
runner.
• From panel, fussy cut (4) 2 1 ⁄2” character squares or holly squares
for the corners of the outer border.
• Add a 2 1 ⁄2” square to each end of the top and bott om brown
scripture borders. Add to complete the table runner.
• Layer, baste & quilt. Bind with 2 1 ⁄2” strips of black star fabric.
