The works shall be done as per current CPWD Specifications <strong>for</strong> electrical works asamended from time to time <strong>and</strong> Indian Electricity rules as amended time to time.The specification <strong>for</strong> any of the items which are not covered under CPWD currentSpecifications /IE rules/IE Act, then relevant IS shall apply.2. Unless otherwise specified in particular, the entire equipment /system shall besuitable <strong>for</strong> operation on 4<strong>15</strong> volts / 240 volts with earthed <strong>neutral</strong>, three / singlephase alternating current system.3. The work shall be supervised by qualified Electrical staff.4. The layout of the work will be given by Engineer-in-charge or his duly authorizedrepresentative at site of work.5. The following wiring shall be done on separate conduits.a. Power plug wiringb. Light <strong>and</strong> fan wiring.c. Emergency Light wiring(DC supply)d. Telephone Wiringe. AC units wiringThe no. of power points <strong>and</strong> emergency light points shall not exceed two perCircuit in any of the cases.6. The <strong>Earthing</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>cable</strong> laying work shall be done in the presence of Engineer-inchargeor his authorized representative.7. Sample of all the materials, fittings, IC switch gears etc., shall be got approvedfrom the Engineer-in-charge be<strong>for</strong>e using the same on the work. The rejectedmaterials shall be removed immediately from the site of work.8. The completion plan in triplicate in respect of the connection diagram <strong>and</strong> <strong>cable</strong>route should be submitted by the contractor as per the relevant clause of<strong>BSNL</strong>/PWD 8.9. The contractor shall conduct the following tests at his own costs <strong>and</strong> submit thetest results as per the pro<strong>for</strong>ma enclosed be<strong>for</strong>e the final bill is paid. Nothing extrawill be paid on this account.a. Earth testb. Polarity testc. Insulation testd. Earth continuity test of the surface/recess conduit pipes.10. Any damage done to the building by the contractor during in connection of workshall have to be made good at his own cost <strong>and</strong> risk. If he does not do it himselfContractor Page - 41 -
