Health & Nutrition in SouthSudanA distinct shortage of skilled health workers and health facilities has resultedin largepopulations being denied access to healthcare : 87% of thepopulation doesnot have access to a healthcare facility [SSDP,2009]The high cost of healthcare delivery has resulted in an inefficient provision ofservices,reducing the ability of the population from engaging in productive activity.Poor health contributes significantly to poverty in Southern Sudan and thecurrentindicators for health are amongst the worst in the world.
