For customers who need an out-<strong>of</strong>-<strong>the</strong>-box clustered enterprise databasesystem, that <strong>of</strong>fers continuous database availability, handles OLTP and Data Warehouseworkloads concurrently for multi-Petabyte databases, scales linearly with increased workloads,and can be managed online, <strong>NonStop</strong> <strong>SQL</strong>/<strong>MX</strong> <strong>3.2.1</strong> is <strong>the</strong> appropriate database solution.The <strong>SQL</strong>/<strong>MX</strong> Release <strong>3.2.1</strong> is an incremental feature release that builds upon <strong>the</strong> featuresreleased in 3.2 last year. Key features introduced in this release will help you migrate your Oracledatabase application with lower risks and costs, and make <strong>the</strong> database more secure andmodern.Migration Enablers:• Support for External Sequence Generators using syntax similar to what is used in your Oracledatabase applications.• BR2 and <strong>MX</strong>DM now support External Sequence Generator.• Support for dynamic <strong>SQL</strong> access from 64-bit embedded <strong>SQL</strong> programs written in C/C++.• <strong>SQL</strong>/<strong>MX</strong> <strong>3.2.1</strong> interoperates with <strong>SQL</strong>/<strong>MX</strong> 3.2.Improved Connectivity options:• Support for IPv6 addresses by <strong>NonStop</strong> OSS, Linux, Windows ODBC drivers and JDBC T4drivers.• <strong>SQL</strong>/<strong>MX</strong> would support NSJ 7.0. You can now use SPJs, JDBC/<strong>MX</strong> T2 driver (32-bit and 64-bit),and JDBC T4 drivers with NSJ 7.0Product and Ordering Information:Existing customers can easily upgrade to <strong>SQL</strong>/<strong>MX</strong> R<strong>3.2.1</strong> once <strong>the</strong>y have installed ei<strong>the</strong>r <strong>the</strong>H06.26 or J06.15 Release Version Update (RVU).Customers can order <strong>NonStop</strong> <strong>SQL</strong>/<strong>MX</strong> <strong>3.2.1</strong> using <strong>the</strong> following Product IDs. As <strong>of</strong> this Release,you would also receive <strong>the</strong> <strong>NonStop</strong> JDBC Type 2 driver for <strong>SQL</strong>/MP and <strong>SQL</strong>/<strong>MX</strong> along with your<strong>SQL</strong> s<strong>of</strong>tware.
