Mellen-Thomas Benedict’s Near-Death ExperienceMy mother had never talked about these things. I talked withher later and she confirmed all these stories, but she stilldidn’t understand how I could know all these things because Iwasn’t even there, or wasn’t old enough. One of the things that I saw was that I had experienced whatyou would call a crib death, sudden infant death, within thefirst year of my life. I got to see what that was about. And thatis about a new spirit and a new life coming into this life withso much karma and so much family stuff going on that yousay, “I can’t take this, I want to return.”Angela: Oh, wow.Mellen: My mother came in and found me stiff. They rushedus to the nearby hospital, with my father. The doctors took thebaby and said, “we’ll try to resuscitate the baby. This looksbad.” Literally they thought I was dead. And my mother was told to go back to the waiting room whereshe saw my father, my biological father—for the first time inher life—praying with all his heart. And I remember, from thenear-death experience, I was a little baby on this gurney.I remember hands made of light, lifting me to the light. And I got almost to the light and then I woke up crying as ababy again. And it was at that very time that my father waspraying.© Mellen-Thomas Benedict 2008 • 18 • & Angela Treat Lyon 2008Mellen-Thomas.com • All rights reserved • Protected Internationally • EFTBooks.com
