Intrusion<strong>Wireless</strong> <strong>GSM</strong> <strong>Modules</strong>OverviewThe new <strong>GSM</strong> module from <strong>Interlogix</strong> brings Alarm.com’ssecure wireless signaling, real-time event notificationand Web-based remote monitoring and controlcapabilities to the GE <strong>NetworX</strong> series of security panels.Featuring digital wireless communication via <strong>GSM</strong>/GPRS, the modules enable secure alarm reporting toany central station via SIA or Contact ID, regardlessof whether a phone line is installed at the systemlocation. <strong>NetworX</strong> end users can monitor and controltheir security system remotely via the Alarm.comWebsite as well as mobile/PDA devices. Online featuresinclude viewing system status and history, arming anddisarming the system, setting up user codes. Userscan even create customized e-mail and text messagenotifications for any type of alarm or non-alarm activityat the property. Additionally, using the Z-Wave ® enabledmodems enables the control of Z-Wave class devicessuch as lighting and thermostats.The <strong>GSM</strong> module interfaces with the <strong>NetworX</strong> paneldata bus and is powered by the panel. Status LEDs onthe module allow for <strong>GSM</strong> signal strength checking,as well as troubleshooting during installation. Thecellular module can be used as the primary means ofcommunication or as a backup to a landline phoneconnection. Each <strong>NetworX</strong> panel supports a maximumof one wireless module.
