PRODUCT WARRANTIESTerms & ConditionsCommercial ApplicationsLimited WarrantySchlage Lock Company, LLC (the “Company”) extends a three yearlimited warranty to the original user of the products manufacturedby the Company (the “Products”) against defects in material andworkmanship from the date of purchase. Certain Products containrestrictions to this limited warranty, additional warranties, ordifferent warranty periods. Please see below for specific Productwarranty information.What The Company Will Do: Upon return of the defective Productto the Company or its authorized distributor for inspection, free andclear of all liens and encumbrances and accompanied by thestatement of defects of proof of purchase, the Company willreplace the Product.Original User: These warranties only apply to the Original User ofProducts. These warranties are not transferable.What Is Not Covered: The following costs, expenses and damagesare not covered by the provisions of this limited warranty: (i) laborcosts including, but not limited to, such costs as the removal andreinstallation of Product; (ii) shipping and freight expenses requiredto return Product to Schlage; (iii) failures, defects, or damage(including, but not limited to, any security failure or loss of data)caused by any third party product, service, or system connected orused in conjunction with the Product; and (iv) any other incidental,consequential, indirect, special and/or punitive damages, whetherbased on contract, warranty, tort (including, but not limited to, strictliability or negligence), patent infringement, or otherwise, even ifadvised of the possibility of such damages.The provisions of these limited warranties do not apply toProducts: (i) used for purposes for which they are notdesigned or intended; (ii) which have been subjected toalteration, misuse, abuse, negligence, or accident; (iii) whichhave been improperly stored, installed, maintained, repairedor operated; (iv) which have been used in violation of writteninstructions provided by Schlage; (v) which have beensubjected to improper temperature, humidity, or otherenvironmental conditions (i.e., corrosion); or (vi) which, basedon the Company’s examination, do not disclose to theCompany’s satisfaction non-conformance to the warranties.Additionally, the Company will not warrant ANSI A156.2 Grade2 lever Product installed in educational facilities and studenthousing.Additional Terms: The Company does not authorize any person tocreate for it any obligation or liability in connection with theProducts. The Company’s maximum liability under these warrantiesis limited to the purchase price of the Product. No action arisingout of any claimed breach of these warrantiesby the Company may be brought by the Original User more thanone (1) year after the cause of action has arisen.How Local Law Applies: These warranties give you specific legalrights, and you may also have other rights permitted by law.SPECIFIC PRODUCT WARRANTY RESTRICTIONS/ADDITIONALWARRANTIES:ND-Series Levers 7-Year Mechanical WarrantyThe limited warranty is for a period of seven (7) years from thedate of purchase and is subject to the restrictions of these limitedwarranties.Small Format Interchangeable Core (SFIC) WarrantyThe limited warranty also applies to Schlage locks and housingswhen used with another manufacturer’s cores, or to Schlage cores(i.e, SFIC) when used in another manufacturer’s locks andhousings. The use of unauthorized cylinder cams or othercomponents with the Products shall void these warranties.Everest ® Primus ® and Everest Primus XP Limited Lifetime KeyBreakage WarrantyA limited lifetime warranty is provided to the original user againstbreakage and is subject to the restrictions of these limitedwarranties.Portable Security Limited Lifetime WarrantyA limited lifetime warranty is provided to the original user and issubject to the restrictions of these limited warranties.Residential ApplicationsLifetime Limited Mechanical & Finish Warranty and 1-Year LimitedElectronics WarrantySubject to the terms and conditions of this warranty, Schlageextends a lifetime limited mechanical and finish warranty and aone-year limited electronics warranty to the original consumer userPrice Book 74Effective April 1, 2013Terms-7
