INFORMATION CHANGES: Please let us know if you’ve moved or changed your phone number, doctor, emergency contact, etc. FOOD SHARE: We have a box at the Centre for donations to the food share and we welcome all donations. Many thanks to all who donated. Our donations have been acknowledged, with thanks. SUGGESTION BOX: Just a reminder that the suggestion box is on the wall in the main hallway, and we are always open to suggestions. ALUMINUM TABS: We still collect aluminum tabs (from pop cans), which we pass on to the groups who collect the tabs. Our donations have already helped in purchasing several wheelchairs. 2½ million are needed for one wheelchair. BOUTIQUE: Remember we still have gifts of various types available in our boutique area now located in the Main Hall. REGISTER TAPES: We accept ZEHRS. Please separate your tapes into groups. We DO NOT COLLECT: Ron’s Food Basics, the Barn or Fortino’s. They do not participate in the Save-A-Tape program. If you include them it makes it more difficult for our volunteers who then have to check every tape. JOURNAL ADVERTISING: If you are interested in advertising in The Journal, please contact the office at 905-648-3466 or e-mail Pamela at Pamela.Clark@hamilton.ca to discuss rates, submission dates, etc. Please submit ads using a jpeg file. 26 HIKING Try a day out with the hiking club. Get outdoors and enjoy some fresh air and beautiful scenery while on your walk. We can only run this if we have enough volunteers, so if you have a couple of hours per week to help - contact Wilma or Pamela in the office. POT LUCK LUNCH - Fridays For those who cannot make or bring their share to regular pot luck, the cost on these days is $5.00. You could pick up some sliced cold meat, salads, jellos, possibly a meat pie, or other frozen entrée, (and heat it in the oven before you come); or ice cream, pies, (the bakeries in the stores do some great baking)!! This would help our Staff who are now spending some valuable time cooking, instead of doing their own particular jobs. This makes it hard to find the time to do everything.
