They are applied to a client’s limb and then inflated.During inflation the soft inner layer moulds exactly to thelimb, providing circumferential, even pressure when inflation iscompleted. Inflation can be accomplished orally, with the use ofa personal/disposable mouthpiece and a mouthpiece filter, or withthe Hand Pump with Safety Valve. All Urias Pressure Splints arelatex free. NOTE: Inflation pressures should not exceed 40mmHg.Urias Pressure Splints Benefits• Counter abnormal tone development. Applied following braininjury due to trauma or stroke, these splints inhibit spasticity,assist movement patterns, expedite weight bearing andreduce oedema.
