Jim Kellett Takes the Lead at ECAO 2011 ECAO Industry Conference

ECAO CONFERENCEband fronted by Canadian Nick D’Amico,vocalist and guitarist and his five bandmates. The night was especially memorablefor Roger McFarlane, who celebratedhis 60th birthday.While some delegates used their free timeto relax by the pool or on the beach, excursionswere organized for those curious toexplore more of Costa Rica. Many delegatesparticipated in the Cartagena CanopyTour, where they conquered their fear ofheights as they strapped into a harness,clipped onto a cable, and soared throughthe trees alongside the howler monkeys.Kudos to those dare-devils brave enough tozip-line upside down! Other tours includedthe Arenal Volcano and a trek through theCoter Rainforest ending in a relaxing timein the natural hot springs, or crossingthe border to Costa Rica’s neighbouringcountry, Nicaragua. A few delegates gottheir adrenaline pumping on an off-roadATV tour through the dusty terrain. Somefirst-timers experienced a few bumps inthe road and found themselves in theditch while some others just felt compelledto share their excitement before takingoff. Final excursions included a visit toPalo Verde National Park where delegatesexplored the waterways filled with birds,crocodiles, iguanas, white faced monkeys,howler monkeys, and more and a visit tothe Rincon de la Vieja Park where delegatesparticipated in a marathon of horsebackriding, zip-lining, rappelling, swingingover the Rio Blanco Canyon and rockclimbing their way through an expeditionto a nearby waterfall.As difficult as it was to think about, the triphad to come to an end.
