Die Klimakiste ist doppelwandig ausgeführt und mit Styropor isoliert. Der innere Lagerungsbehälter ist aus Edelstahl, Außenwand und Deckel sind aus Aluminium. Die Prüflinge liegen auf einem herausnehmbaren Edelstahlrost. Unter dem Rost befindet sich der elektronisch geregelte Hochleistungs-Rohrheizkörper mit Temperatursensor.
