The time limit allowed for <strong>the</strong> heartbeat of ano<strong>the</strong>r active <strong>Job</strong> <strong>Scheduler</strong> in a cluster to be delayed before <strong>the</strong><br />

<strong>Scheduler</strong> is declared dead.<br />

When a <strong>Job</strong> <strong>Scheduler</strong> is inactive and operated with <strong>the</strong> -exclusive option set, <strong>the</strong>n it may <strong>the</strong>n become active.<br />

heart_beat_own_timeout="seconds" (Initial value:55)<br />

This setting is used for self-regulation of a <strong>Job</strong> <strong>Scheduler</strong>. When a <strong>Job</strong> <strong>Scheduler</strong> notices that its own heartbeat<br />

has been delayed longer than <strong>the</strong> time specified in this parameter, <strong>the</strong>n it immediately stops and restarts itself. This<br />

means that a <strong>Job</strong> <strong>Scheduler</strong> preempts being deactivated by ano<strong>the</strong>r <strong>Scheduler</strong> and avoids <strong>the</strong> short-term<br />

possibility of parallel operation because of a delayed heartbeat.<br />

[ERROR] SCHEDULER-386 Last heart beat was time, seconds ago. Something is delaying <strong>Scheduler</strong><br />

execution, <strong>the</strong> <strong>Scheduler</strong> is aborted immediately<br />

The time allowed for a delay in <strong>the</strong> heartbeat of a <strong>Job</strong> <strong>Scheduler</strong> before a warning is given out.<br />
