<strong>Livestock</strong> is the mainsource of high proteinfoods as well as a greatmean of incomegeneration for most ruralpopulation in Pakistan.<strong>IRM</strong> community <strong>Livestock</strong><strong>Extension</strong> <strong>Workers</strong>(CLEWs) Trainingprogramme is developedto get most benefit out of<strong>Livestock</strong> by maximizingproduction andminimizing losses throughdisease prevention &mortality control.<strong>Livestock</strong> is the main source of highprotein foods as well as a great mean ofincome generation for most ruralpopulation in Pakistan. Women PresenceIn rural areas women are engaged in different tasksfrom dawn to dusk revolving around livestock.<strong>Livestock</strong> plays major role in fulfilling dietary needs ofhouseholds and livestock rearing is also an incomesource. Keeping in view the importance of women'srole in livestock management, the <strong>IRM</strong> alwaysencourages women to attend CLEWs training from alldistricts of Pakistan.
