University of MelbourneInternal Research Grants &Fellowships 2012I am pleased to bring to your attention the University’s program of internal research grantsand fellowships for 2012, funded and administered through Melbourne Research. Internalgrants may be a vital first step in your plan to secure external research funding and promoteyour work. Most of the programs aim to seed new initiatives and partnerships, others aretargeted to specific cohorts of researchers.For some of these programs faculties provide matching or co-funding. For many, theallocation of internal research grants is based upon the internal ranking of applicationsprovided by faculties. The range of schemes, the eligibility criteria, and the level of fundingare reviewed annually through the Committee of Associate Deans (Research).Please take a moment to consider which schemes may be relevant to you and take noteof the key dates to assist in your planning.
