Croatian legislation fully complies with the Special Recommendation No VIII. The Law on theCriminal Liability of Legal Persons <strong>and</strong> Criminal Law regulate the abuse of legal persons forexecution of various criminal acts, including terrorism. Act 169 of the Criminal Law definesactions of international terrorism, <strong>and</strong> foresees penalties from at least three years <strong>to</strong> at least tenyears for various categories of actions.The Law on Non-Profitable Organisations <strong>and</strong> the Rulebook on the Accounting <strong>and</strong> Budgeting ofNon-Profitable Organisations regulate the existence, accounting <strong>and</strong> bookkeeping of nonprofitableorganisations. Nevertheless, it should <strong>be</strong> mentioned that on a world scale, as well as inCroatia, non-profitable organisations remain one of the most abused ways of <strong>laundering</strong> dirty<strong>money</strong>.Croatia fully complies with Special Recommendation No IX.
