Michigan residents must apply for the marriage license in the county where they reside.The marriage license will be valid anywhere in the State of Michigan. The fee forCalhoun County residents is $20.00.3. Out-of-State residents must apply in the county where the marriage ceremony is to beperformed. The fee is $30.004. The marriage license is valid for 33 days, this includes the 3-day waiting period. Notifythe clerk at the time of application if you need to waive the 3-day waiting period.5. You can apply for your marriage license at the Clerk and Register of Deeds Office, 315W. Green St., Marshall, MI 49068 or at the County Clerk’s office in Battle Creek, 161 E.Michigan Ave., Battle Creek, MI 49014.
