Over two dozen faculty applied for 14 CoreCurriculum Fellowships. These fellows met monthly with an assignment targeting thedevelopment of engaging teaching strategies. Each fellow was awarded $500 and distinguishedthroughout campus in faculty meetings as Core Fellows. The initial assessment indicates a muchgreater understanding of our first year student needs and a willingness to alter teaching strategiesto meet those needs. The QEP Team strongly feels this program will continue to provideWTAMU faculty with the tools they need to reach teaching and learning excellence whileengaging students in the process of teaching and learning.45
