Units producing TAF-coded forecasts will:3.4.1.1.1. Produce, disseminate, <strong>and</strong> amend TAFs for Active Duty USAF <strong>and</strong> USA airfieldswithin their AORs. Exception: AFWA/XOGS produces TAF-coded forecast products astasked by supported agencies. Note: <strong>Air</strong> Force-issued TAF products are not required if the USNational <strong>Weather</strong> Service (NWS) or another indigenous weather service issues, for the sameairfield, a WMO-compliant TAF-coded forecast that meets comm<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> control requirements.Use the decision matrix in Table 3.6. as guidance for determining if an AF-issued TAFproduct is required for a specific location.3.4.1.1.2. Develop a TAF production cycle <strong>and</strong> level of forecast provided to all locations(24-hour ops <strong>and</strong> limited-duty locations) that are based on customer’s operational requirements.3.4.1.1.3. Ensure forecasts are representative of expected weather conditions <strong>and</strong> remainwithin st<strong>and</strong>ard amendment criteria.
