Corp members who initiated the Forum,Anyanwu Iheoma O. O. of the Departmentof Student Support Services (DSSS) andAdamu Suleiman Yakubu of theDepartment of Physical Planning (DPP),and expressed optimism that with theexposition, it would offer them theopportunity to know how to become jobcreators rather than job-seekers.Mr. Sonny A. EhioghaeDeputy Director (Establishment)with ideas on managing SMEs.The Workshop, which held at the NUCVirtual Library, was coordinated by NUCDeputy Director, Establishment, Mr. SonnyA. Ehioghae, who encouraged the Corpmembers to imbibe the lessons of theprogramme to prepare themselves ahead oflife challenges, stressing that they shouldform the habit of reading inspirational andenterprising books to enrich themselvesDelivering the paper the Resource Person and a staff of Small and Medium EnterprisesDevelopment Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), Mr. Biodun Omidiji, stated thatEntrepreneurship was about adding value to an existing or a new product/service that wouldappeal to people to buy the products. He pointed out that some of the characters inherent inentrepreneurs included that they usually takeand bear risks, resourceful and are discoverers and future-oriented.In his remark, the Representative of the Corp members, Mr. Oluwasegun Owa, thanked theNUC management for always affording them the opportunity to express themselves and forfacilitating the Workshop, calling on his colleagues to take advantage of the knowledgeacquired as it would be useful to them in future, if they wanted to live a more productive,self- sufficient and meaningful live.The Workshop was attended by over 100 Corp members of the Commission.Mr. Dan’Iya with the Corp membersPage 13
