Counselorof the YearGail Laferriere, North IdahoCollege Career Services assistantdirector, was named the 2013Counselor of the Year by theIdaho Counseling Association.Laferriere was presented theaward at the ICA annualconference in January of 2013.The ICA award is given to oneperson each year who exemplifiesthe model of an ideal counselorwith the recipient demonstratingexcellent rapport with clients,counselors, and coworkers.Laferriere has worked at NIC for19 years. When she first moved toIdaho in 1993, NIC had no CareerCenter, so she began the processof creating and developing thecareer development programand center in 1994.
