ACTA UNIVERSITATIS CIBINIENSIS - Seria ŞtiinŃe Agricole, vol. 1, nr. 1 (5), 2005CARACTERISTICI FIZICO-CHIMICE ALE MIERII DEALBINE ROMANEŞTIPHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS OFROMANIAN HONEYAntonescu Carmen*, Dinita Georgeta***Institute for Beekeeping Research and Development, Bucharest**University for Animal Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, BucharestABSTRACTThe purpose of the study was to investigate the physical and chemical characteristics of fourRomanian monoflorals sorts of honey, namely acacia (from Robinia pseudacacia L.), linden(from Tillia sp.), sun-flower (from Helianthus annuus), and colza (from Brassica mapusoleifera L.).The water content, the diastazic index, the hydroxy methyl furfural content, the pollenspectrum, the acidity and the concentration of some simple saccharides (fructose, glucose),iisaccharides (maltose, sucrose), trisaccharides (melesitose) and oligosaccharides (highersugars) have been determined. The results show that:-the chemical composition of Romanian honey varied from one sorts of honey to another;-the sugar spectrum is characteristic to every sort of honey, and the concentration of fructose,glucose, and maltose are criteria to differentiate the monoflorals sorts of Romanian honey.

For establishing thestructural parameters there was processed a rich material of over 1244 adult samplesbelonging to 17 species, from the total of 29 species that are to be found on Romanianterritory. The material comes from 42 localities. The way of collecting was directly with thehand, with the entomological net, through the test wells done in the soil, the usage of theinstallation for the humidity degree and the device for obtaining the oofag (eggeating)parasites.KEY WORDS: Ecologie, Parametrii structurali, Rhynchitidae si Attelahidae
