Special Situations and GoalkeepingInternational <strong>Floorball</strong> FederationDrill 9.Objective:• To practice saving reactions• To practice movingOrganisation:• 3-5 players standing in 7-10 meters distancein different sectors with balls• These players are numbered as in the pictureExecution:• Coach shouts a number after which theplayer by that number shoots• After the save the goalkeeper returns to abasic save position, ready for another shot• Numbers are shouted in a random order in afast paceKey points:• The goalkeeper has to keep the readiness tomake a save throughout the drill• The movement should be made towards theshot (forwards, sideways) always returning tothe basic positionModifications:• Can also be executed so that there are threelines on the middle line (1, 2 and 3)• The coach shouts a number after which theplayer on that line shoots (from movement)1. Wrist shot2. Break away (one against one with the goalkeeper)3. Slap shotDrill 10.Objective:• To practice saving reactions• To train muscle coordination and strengthOrganisation:• The goalkeeper lying on back with kneesbend, feet pointing forward• Coach standing in front of the net in 5-7meters distance with ballsExecution:• Coach gives a sign after which the goalkeeperlifts him/herself up to a sit-up or a basicsave position• At the same time coach shoots and the goalkeepermakes a save• Repeated several times• Same thing from a prone lying position(facing down), where the goalkeeper has tolift him/herself up to a basic position readyto make a save using handsKey points:••Emphasises the fact that the goalkeeperalways has to be ready for the next save in agameThe goalkeeper has to try to return to thebasic save position from different postures1 234Modification1 2326◄
